About the Summit

NFBPA Central Texas Chapter invites all to participate in two days of dynamic professional development, hear from thought-provoking, attention grabbing keynote speakers that will inspire and share best practices while engaging in nurturing creative idea-generating experiences.
The Leadership Summit will offer workshops where attendees will learn from public sector experts and business leaders. There will be networking opportunities and the chance to engage local top executives along with a health fair.
The professional development programs are designed to meet the learning needs of all attendees at all experience levels in public administration. The attendee’s will sharpen essential tools and develop new skills making them more valuable to their organizations. The students will be introduced to public administrators from various public administrative offices.
We have planned a conference certainly well worth the money and definitely well worth the time!

A Call to Action for Public Administrators!

Tracks

Service – Seek outreach and mentoring opportunities that raise awareness of the issues affecting our community and enlarge our overall understanding of how we can facilitate positive change.

Engagement – Respond with courage, conviction and transparency to individuals, constituencies, governmental officials, stakeholders and partners to address community concerns.

Empowerment – Participate in strengthening efforts that encourage individuals and communities to cultivate their existing power and wield it toward reinforcing grassroots infrastructure.

Knowledge – Commit to collaborative information sharing practices that enhance knowledge and skill as well as provide transformative education opportunities that eliminate barriers to higher achievement.

 

Summit Highlights

  • A series of workshops and seminars for the development and enhancement of the public administrator as well as private industry.
  • Cutting-edge thinking by state, regional, and national speakers from across the US to encourage more engagement in our communities.
  • The Education Excellence Scholarship Luncheon seeks to promote public administration to our local high school students while providing inspiration for future enhancement
  • A meeting of prominent city, county, state, and national leaders from varying spectrums in public administration such as utility executives, regional and national city management experts to discuss challenges and opportunities facing their cities.
  • Numerous opportunities to expand your network of career associates and gain a national view as you meet and greet highly respected colleagues from around the country

Any reservations that fail to cancel prior to noon on the day prior to arrival will be charged one night’s room and tax.

Your guest will have until the cut off date to make reservations in the room block, unless the room block is filled before then. Reservations requested by your attendees after this date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Any guestrooms above the amount agreed upon are not guaranteed.
