Reba Denise Bacon, is a Project Development Specialist at Texas Workforce Commission Office of Employer Initiatives. She manages the Self-Sufficiency Fund grant program that leads to industry recognized certifications and the Texas premier job-training program Skills Development Fund for West-Central, North Texas and Golden Crescent workforce board regions. Her primary role is to cultivate partnerships among community colleges, workforce boards and businesses in offering skill grant opportunities that will enhance job skills and opportunities for the unemployed to earn credentials that lead to permanent full-time employment.
Reba received her Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University – Commerce and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix – Austin campus. Her affiliations include Texas Economic Development Council; National Association of Professional Women and National Forum for Black Public Administrators –Central Texas Chapter, where she currently serves as Parliamentarian and Chair of the Membership Committee. Reba is a member of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Austin, Texas
Reba currently services as the NFBPA Center Texas Chapter’s Parliamentarian and Membership Chair.
